Paige + Ryne
September 8th, 2018
All weddings are magical. How could they not be? The celebration of romantic love is enough to make any heart soften and swoon. Paige and Ryne’s special day was no exception. A 100% chance of rain moved their outdoor ceremony indoors, but Barn at Crystal Springs in Franklin was warm and inviting. Many friends and family joined them to celebrate, but the coziness of the barn made their big celebration feel intimate and personal.
The beautiful details were very obviously well-thought out in advance and executed perfectly. The bride’s mother and her girlfriends arrived early in the day to set up the tables and decor. Her mother also created the boutonnieres, centerpieces, and bridesmaid’s bouquets. Paige’s bouquet and the ceremony arch were designed and created by Farmer’s Daughters Market- a business owned by Jenny, the venue coordinator at The Barn at Crystal Springs. The delicious cake and cupcakes were made by Smallcakes Cupcakery. And if you know me at all, you know I grabbed a cupcake for the road at the end of the night. ;-)
I was so excited for Paige to arrive, as we had spoken a few times before the wedding and each time she was incredibly kind and relaxed. When she arrived, her hair and makeup were done and completely flawless. Lindsay Van Nuys was the makeup artist behind the perfect look with Abby Cummings from Downtown Crop Shop responsible for Paige’s romantic updo. Paige was ready to get into her stunning dress designed by Stella York. She told me it was the 4th dress she had tried on at Wedding Studio Greenwood and, though I didn’t see the other dresses, I know it was the perfect dress for her. Her mother buttoned her in and they shared a big, sweet hug! A few moments later, her dad came upstairs for his own “first look”. It was incredibly touching- I can’t wait to share those images with them!
Ryne and his crew arrived a short time later and I was equally delighted to see how dapper he looked in his navy suit from Louie’s Tux Shop. Paige gifted him a gorgeous black-on-black watch that lit his face up upon opening. Ryne was smiling every moment I saw him the entire day and he was buzzing with excitement at the prospect of marrying Paige. Paige and Ryne’s son Owen was equally excited about the impending party and got to spend a few sweet moments with each of his parents before the ceremony began.
When the time for the ceremony to begin came, Paige was more than ready to get downstairs to her groom and his face when he saw her did not disappoint! All ran smoothly with their Aunt Beth officiating. She did a wonderful job- regaling us all with a few sweet tidbits Paige and Ryne shared privately with her and performing a hand-binding ceremony with Owen’s baby blanket. When the pronouncement of their marriage Ryne was positively beside himself with joy. I don’t know that I have ever seen a happier groom or a bride glowing as much as Paige was.
Joe with DJ Sound Solution entertained the guests during cocktail hour- made possible by On the Rocks Bar Service. During this time I was able to coax the wedding party outside for a quick shot, despite the rain. The whole bridal party was kind, cooperative, and gracious. It really makes things so enjoyable on my end and I’m thankful to them for being so willing to get the shots we needed!
After a few toasts and delicious meal by Circle City Catering, the first dances were underway and the dance floor was then opened. I saw a couple people who never once left that dance floor- which is a great indicator of a great DJ. My second shooter (and best friend) Amanda (of Amanda Goodin Newborn and Family Photography) wouldn’t slow-dance with me, as usual, but I’m not going stop asking!
It was truly a magical day and wedding and I wish Paige, Ryne, and Owen a beautiful future together with love surrounding them for a lifetime to come.
